To date, YoyWow Space has successfully executed three offline AIGC hackathons across major international hubs: Hollywood (USA), Singapore, and Bangkok (Thailand).
Spanning North America and Southeast Asia, these three landmark events have engaged over 1,000 AIGC professionals, filmmakers, developers, and creative talents—including event attendees, forum panelists, and community members. By delivering a comprehensive ecosystem that combines technology education, high-intensity creative competitions, and industry forums, YoyWow Space has established a global bridge linking AIGC creation with cross-border commercial opportunities.
Yet these three stops are merely the beginning of Creators Lab @ YWS ATF — The Road to ATF 2026.
Beyond a Hackathon – Building a Global Ecosystem
At YoyWow Space, we believe AI is reshaping every stage of content production. However, technology is just the foundation—building an ecosystem is the true destination. The real opportunity lies not merely in the tools themselves, but in bringing creators together to exchange ideas, refine methodologies, and inspire one another.
The mission of Creators Lab @ YWS ATF is singular:
to build the world's most connected AIGC creator community and forge a clear pathway for local innovators to scale onto the international stage.
It serves six core functions: community building, cutting-edge technology demonstrations, talent discovery, international competitions, industry networking, and most critically—distribution and commercial matchmaking.
This is not just a competition
it is the spark of a global movement.
April 17, 2026 · Santa Monica, California, USA
As a co-host in the beating heart of the global film industry, YoyWow Space hosted a launch showcase for world-leading AI video generation foundation models. The event empowered Hollywood film professionals with hands-on AI filmmaking insights, an AI film hackathon, and a vibrant local creator community.
Over 650 industry professionals gathered on-site, representing four key pillars of the industry:
Studio Executives & Production Leaders: Representatives from Netflix, Sony, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, and more, focusing on integrating AI into established VFX and post-production pipelines.
AI Tech Founders & Creative Architects: Visionaries leveraging AI as core productivity, operating not just as users but as infrastructure builders.
High-Impact Creators: Independent studio operators prioritizing generation speed and brand consistency.
Technical Experts & VFX Artists: Directors of photography, VFX supervisors, and generative engineers evaluating tools based on photorealism, 4K rendering, and character consistency.
The significance of this event far transcended a traditional product launch. The overwhelming response from Hollywood filmmakers validated the universal applicability of AI-driven production. Crucially, it demonstrated that AI technology has shattered traditional content production barriers, placing Chinese creators on an equal starting line with Hollywood.
Hollywood marked the first milestone on our Road to ATF.
June 19, 2026 · Singapore
In partnership with leading industry organizations, YoyWow Space convened 22 cross-functional teams in Singapore—comprising 88 AI developers, filmmakers, and prompt engineers—to explore the practical capabilities of AIGC in vertical short-form dramas, a rapidly expanding global content trend.
At the concurrent CREATORS LAB TALKS forum, YoyWow Space Co-Founder Edmund Ooi delivered a keynote address, sharing insider perspectives on global AIGC content acquisition trends while engaging platforms and production studios in discussions on professional AI workflows and commercial opportunities across Asia.
The Singapore stop yielded deep market insights into Southeast Asia's practical demand for AI-generated content, while building repeatable operational playbooks for rapid activation in international markets.
July 31, 2026 · Bangkok, Thailand
Hosted by YoyWow Space, the Bangkok edition was executed alongside Thai strategic partner Draconic and government agency Creative Economy Agency (CEA), with official support from the Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF).
YoyWow Space spearheaded event planning, technical resource support, social media marketing, and on-site execution, delivering Southeast Asia's most influential collaborative AIGC creator event.
The event brought together 33 professional teams totaling 132 creators. Powered by YoyWow Space's proprietary collaborative AI production platform MO2, teams navigated a 4-hour high-intensity challenge using agentic collaborative workflows. This enabled participants to execute the full creative pipeline—from initial concept to final render—in just a few hours.
This was more than a contest; it proved a core thesis: AI empowers team collaboration rather than isolating creators.
The Journey Continues
Following the August 15 stop in Malaysia, the movement will expand to over 10 key destinations including Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, and Japan. The Hong Kong edition will feature deep integration with the Hong Kong AI International Film Festival (HKAIIFF) and the broader global AI filmmaking ecosystem.
Every stop uncovers new talent.
Every challenge sparks breakthrough ideas.
Every regional champion earns the privilege to represent their market at the grand finale during ATF 2026 in Singapore.
Beyond the Physical Event – Charting a Global Creative Landscape
Insights From the Ground: Industry Realities
Through comprehensive activations encompassing tech education, creative challenges, and commercial dialogues, YoyWow Space engaged deeply with local creative industries, uncovering key shifts reshaping the landscape:
- Democratization of Creation: AI tools are lowering technical barriers. From beginners to veteran VFX directors, creators can swiftly move from concept to pilot film. Breakthrough projects by novice teams consistently surpassed traditional production expectations.
- Shift in Competitive Focus: As generation tools mature, technology is no longer the main bottleneck. Project management, narrative architecture, team alignment, and upfront IP rights management now dictate final project quality—elevating the strategic importance of resource coordination.
- Divergent Regional Demand: North American creators focus on cost reduction and efficiency within studio pipelines; Southeast Asian creators favor agile vertical content and localized narratives. Each market presents distinct priorities regarding format, runtime, and monetization.
- High Demand for Commercial Matchmaking: Creators rarely lack vision; rather, they lack access to platforms, distribution networks, and industry visibility. Beyond competition, events must serve as catalysts for talent discovery and business dealmaking.
